Pet
overpopulation is a true tragedy that condemns
thousands of animals to
a life of pain and suffering. Many people are
irresponsible, but many others don't know how to
help. Perry and her family spend time catching
and finding homes for these critters for the CCA
in South Carolina. Educate yourself by visiting
these sites. You can make a difference. Start
by having your pets spayed or neutered. If you
are looking for a pet, please ADOPT!
Concerned Citizens for
Animals (CCA) is an organization

After suffering through an illness in high
school and through college, including Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome and Anemia, Perry was tested
for food allergies. After seeing many
"specialists" in many different medical fields,
she found one doctor that diagnosed her
properly. She was gluten-intolerant and allergic
to citrus fruit. The toast and orange juice she
had in the mornings were actually killing her
and creating the disease. Many people suffer
through all types of ailments not knowing that
it might be something that there are eating.
They take pills and they don't solve the
problem. Unfortunately it can take many years of
searching to find the answer if you have a
disease that is not well-known.
We truly are "what we eat."
Gluten-Intolerance is
related to Celiac Disease.
If you know someone who is suffering from
unusual ailments and perhaps feels tired all the
time, check out these websites and help support
the spread of information about this awful
disease.

Perry understands the importance
of creative outlets for talented and bright
kids. These kids are tomorrow's future. Schools
like
The South Carolina Governor's
School for the Arts is one of those
schools that challenges creative kids. Perry
attended the Governor's School in visual art in
high school and it gave Perry an outlet to
foster new ideas and encouraged intellectual
growth. Please do your part to help support
these kinds of schools.

Perry was bitten by a tick in 2003,
unfortunately she did not know she was carrying
Lyme Disease until two years later when she
became very ill at the 2005 USA Track and Field
Championship. Perry discovered that she had
chronic Lyme, a very serious and debilitating
disease. Lyme disease is a world wide epidemic
and prevention is the best measure against it.
